She’s introduced singing her heart out at a talent show—after her classmates have all either lip synced or done dance routines. There’s something melancholy in Autumn that’s not in most of her peers, and her only friend seems to be her cousin and co-worker Skylar ( Talia Ryder). It’s not long before we learn what’s weighing on Autumn’s mind—she’s 17 and pregnant. Eliza Hittman, the writer/director of “ Beach Rats, ” returns to Sundance with her best work yet, a powerful drama that’s mostly a character study of two fully-realized young women but also a commentary on how dangerous it is to be a teenage girl in America. With stunning performances from two completely genuine young leads, this is a movie people will talk about all year. Advertisement Just the simple plot description of “Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Always” makes it sound pretty manipulative: a pair of teenage girls struggle in New York City after one of them becomes pregnant and they have to travel there for an abortion. I’ll admit that I have a very low tolerance for stories of young people or children in jeopardy because it so often feels like a cheap trick to pull at the viewer's heartstrings. Hittman doesn’t make that kind of movie. Her filmmaking values detail over melodrama, unsparing of the plight of the teenage girl in America, a place that often treats them as objects or preys on them. Whether it’s the bro who makes lewd gestures at a restaurant, the grocery store manager who kisses his female employees’ hands, or the drunk pervert who pulls out his dick on a subway train, teenage girls navigate a minefield of toxic masculinity on a daily basis. After Autumn learns that Pennsylvania, her home state, requires parental consent, she convinces Skylar to travel with her to New York to get the procedure. With very little money, they make the journey via bus, and are pushed through a system that Autumn wasn’t expecting. What really elevates Hittman’s work here is the sense that Autumn and Skylar are making believable, character-driven decisions on the fly. Whether it’s Autumn piercing her nose after finding out she’s pregnant—maybe to take a form of control again—or how the women scramble to get what they need in New York, decisions feel organic and in-the-moment, adding to an incredible realism that’s embedded throughout the film. It also helps that Hittman is daringly unafraid of silence. There are no monologues. Autumn barely talks at all for long stretches. But Hittman also pushes her camera in close on Flanigan and Ryder, looking for the truth in their faces instead of manipulative dialogue. Hittman also dodges the “scary city” story that her film could have become. For the most part, the people Autumn and Skylar meet in New York are helpful, especially those in the healthcare system. One in particular asks Autumn a series of questions—the scene which gives the film its fantastic title—and it’s a breathtaking sequence, one in which it feels like Autumn herself is forced to come to terms with things she’s buried, even if just for a few minutes. Flanigan is remarkable in this scene, and throughout the film, and she’s well-matched by Ryder. Lesser writers would have made these two characters too similar, but Hittman trusts Ryder and Flanigan to carve out their own roles. They give two of the best young performances in a very long time. There are a few minor beats in “Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Always” that feel either too long or too rushed. It’s mostly a pacing issue in the center of the film, but this is a minor complaint for a major, personal work. Hittman’s visual acuity doesn’t draw attention to itself, but don’t underestimate that aspect either, reflected in simple beats like how she captures a Pennsylvania sunrise on a life-changing day or a tired head against a bus window. There’s an artistry to the filmmaking here that elevates what really matters—her character work. It’s so hard to make stories of young people that don’t feel like they’re using the precariousness of youth as a cheap trick. Adults often write dialogue for teenagers that sounds like posturing—what old people think young people sound like—or they embed moral messages in barely-remembered memories of their younger days. The reason that “Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Always” is such an impressive piece of work is that Hittman has such deep compassion for her two leads, a pair of young women pushing through a world that is constantly putting obstacles in their path. EL NUMERO PI ES UN NUMERO NORMAL
Se conocen actualmente millones de cifras del numero pi pero
no se a probado que las cifras de pi sigan una distribucion
aleatoria y por tanto que todas las cifras de 0 a 9 aparezcan
con la misma frecuencia es posible que a partir de un momento
dado todas las cifras de pi sean 0 y 1 distribuidas de forma
irracional o cualquier otra combinacion de numeros o que sea
un unico numero el que no aparezca .Tal suposicion es imposible.
Tomemos la formula de leibniz
pi = 4 * ( 1 - 1/3 + 1/5 - 1/7 + 1/9 - 1/11 + ... )
la formula es una suma y resta alternativa del inverso de todos
los impares hasta el infinito .La formula es de convergencia
lenta se necesitan 50 terminos para calcular 2 cifras 500 para
3 cifras 5000 para 4 y asi sucesivamente por lo tanto resulta
inapropiada para calcular un numero elevado de cifras ya que
necesitariamos un tiempo elevado para calcularlas .Si sumamos
y restamos unos cuantos terminos vemos lo siguiente

La sucesion de numeros en su desarollo decimal de la mayoria
de las fracciones llega al infinito el numero de posibles
combinaciones de numeros de todas las columnas de numeros
de la suma y resta es un numero determinado si llevasemos
esta suma y resta en cantidad de terminos que intervienen
hasta el infinito ocurriria lo siguiente el numero de
combinaciones de cifras de las columnas de la suma y resta
seria infinita.
Si el numero de combinaciones de cifras es infinito cada
cifra de 0 a 9 tiene una probabilidad mayor que cero de
aparecer en el resultado al ser infinitas el numero de
combinaciones cada cifra aparecera un numero infinito de
veces con lo cual queda demostrado que la suposicion de
la que hablamos al principio es falsa si a partir de
determinado momento todas las cifras de pi son ceros y unos
eso supondria decir que la cantidad de veces que aparece
determinada cifra es un numero determinado cuando hemos
demostrado que son infinitas.
En una suma o resta de numeros aleatorios la posibilidad de
que salga cualquier cifra de 0 a 9 en el resultado es de
una entre diez si la suma o resta la llevamos en cantidad
de numeros que intervienen al infinito salen todas las cifras
y ademas salen infinitas veces aunque la suma de terminos de
la serie de leibniz que hemos puesto como ejemplo no es una
suma de numeros aleatorios tiene la apariencia caracteristicas
y posibilidades en el resultado como si realmente lo fuera.
Suponer que a partir de determinado momento todas las cifras
del numero pi sean ceros y unos o cualquier otra combinacion
de numeros es tanto como suponer que no exite ninguna
posibilidad para que aparezcan las restantes a partir de
dicho momento.Sin enbargo la formula de leibniz que hemos
puesto como ejemplo nos dice todo lo contrario la posibildad
de que salga cualquier cifra de 0 a 9 es igual a lo largo de
todos sus terminos.
Tambien podiamos suponer que una conbinacion determinada de
numeros diese un numero pi en el que a partir de determinado
momento todas las cifras de pi sean 0 y 1. Pero no es este
el caso que nos ocupa. Cada termino tiene sus propios digitos
particulares que se ponen de particular forma en cada fila
de la suma estos a su vez se combinan con los de otros
terminos para el resultado. Si suponemos que a partir de
determinado momemto todas las cifras de pi sean ceros y unos
hasta el infinito los terminos habrian de tener unas formas
muy especificas y determinadas como tal circunstancia no se
da se da la unica posibilidad cierta es que se den todos los
resultados de digitos de 0 a 9.
Dicho de otra forma la formula da un conjunto de infinitos
elementos (estos elementos son las columnas de numeros de
la suma y resta) en el que cada elemento es un conjunto de
numeros llamemosles aleatorios aunque no lo son en el que
las cifras de 1 a 9 aparecen en cantidad variable hasta un
maximo de infinitas que se combinan de infinitas formas y
estos a su vez con otros elementos .
En un conjunto en el que se dan infinitas conbinaciones de
numeros para el resultado y se dan todas las posibilidades
para que se salgan los resultados de 0 a 9 la posibilidad
de que se de un resultado distinto a 0 y 1 existe y no solo
una sino infinitas veces .Asi pues aunque puede ocurrir que
durante un periodo mas o menos largo las cifras de pi fuesen
0 y 1 llegaria el momento en que tal periodo acabaria y no
llegaria hasta el infinito. Lo mismo ocurre para cualquier
otra conbinacion de numeros .En conclusion aunque la
aparicion de las cifras de 0 a 9 pueden no ocurrir entre si
con la misma frecuencia todas las cifras de 0 a 9 aparecen
durante el desarollo infinito del numero pi .
El mismo razonamiento que hemos empleado para pi lo podemos
aplicar a el numero e base de los logaritmos naturales
una de las formulas para el numero e es la siguiente

si un termino es igual a 1/A el siguiente es igual a
1/(A*N) es decir que el segundo termino es N veces
mas pequeño que el anterior y el siguiente N+1 veces
mas pequeño que este ultimo y N es igual a cualquier
numero entero desde 2 hasta infinito.Por lo tanto
cada termino averigua mayor proporcion de cifras que
el anterior.
Nuevamente vuelven a aparecer las mismas circunstancias
que vimos para el numero pi infinitas conbinaciones de
numeros mismas posibilidades para aparecer en el resultado
todas las cifras de 0 a 9 por lo tanto aunque las cifras
de 0 a 9 pueden no aparecer con la misma frecuencia
todas las cifras de 0 a 9 aparecen durante el desarollo
